MAINTENANCE COORDINATOR

SAN LAMEER MASTER HOMEOWNERS ASSOCIATION

The main purpose of this position is to support management, plan and co-ordinate staff and their tasks, and to ensure that work is completed timeously, and according to legislative and company specifications.

Minimum Requirements

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12)
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Minimum of eight years’ maintenance experience, ideally in a residential estate, hospitality, or large facility environment.
  • At least three years in a supervisory or coordination role, including team leadership
  • Building and construction experience, staff supervision, plumbing and electrical knowledge
  • Trade certificate in plumbing, electrical, or building advantageous
  • Planning, organisational, technical, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Willingness to work overtime, after hours and be on scheduled weekend standby

 

Key Performance Areas:

Responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Supports the Maintenance Manager and Team
  • Directs and co-ordinates staff, tasks, issuing of materials etc.
  • Oversees work done by builders, plasterers, carpenters etc.
  • Assists with inspections on all infrastructure which includes fencing and signage
  • Assists with purchasing, budgeting and administrative requirements
  • Monitor and control, stock, tool & equipment inventory, assets etc.
  • Responsible for fault finding and preventative maintenance recommendation reporting
  • Responsible for tool & equipment safety checks, performs the duties of a SHE Representative
  • Responsible for mentoring, motivating and training of staff
  • Ensures adherence to Health & Safety standards, systems and procedures
